Reports this week suggest that Leicester City Football Club is up for sale, or at the very least, conversations are being had around potential interest in purchasing the club.
The Financial Times first reported on Wednesday 22nd July that King Power have asked investment bankers at Citigroup to open dialogue with those who may be interested in buying the club, but it is unlikely that this process only began this week.
As a business, King Power has been struggling financially for a number of years, and Leicester City Football Club has also been haemorrhaging money during that period.
It stands to reason, then, that King Power will have been looking at ways to steady the ship during the last six years, or certainly within the last four since the tourism industry failed to recover in the way that it was expected to post-Covid.
