Leicester City Women sit 9th in the WSL table at the halfway stage of the season, a 1-0 win over London City Lionesses ending 2025 on a high and ensuring a six-point buffer between themselves and the relegation play-off place.

With just seven goals scored in 11 league games, they are the division’s lowest-scoring side, so with the January transfer window now open, Rick Passmoor has the opportunity to strengthen his squad.

Here at For Fox Sake, we recently had the privilege of welcoming Sky Sports WSL commentator Ellen Ellard onto The Women’s Football Show with Lily Saunders. Here’s Ellen’s take on the type of business Leicester could look to do in this window.

Lily Saunders:Where do you see Leicester wanting to reinforce themselves? Who do you think we could bring in?
