Having been given a contract until the end of the season to hopefully keep Leicester City in the Championship, boss Gary Rowett is on the verge of failing in his objectives, but as the Foxes begin to prepare for life in League One, what will be the fate of our former defender.

The facts don't lie in that the club are perhaps one game away from a return to League One competition for only the second time in their history and with a less points per game record than previous boss Marti Cifuentes (1.4ppg v 0.9ppg), albeit over a shorter time scale, so is that the end of the Rowett journey?

There are a number of factors that don't always make it straight black and white and over the past 4 months, we've alluded to them on many occasions in our regular articles across the site or on our podcasts.

From players downing tools, to injury problems, to off-the-field noise, there is plenty to consider when looking ahead to our new future and where we go from here.
