Leicester City Women’s difficult campaign means their season will now come down to one high-stakes play-off against the side that finishes third in WSL 2.
With automatic promotion spots still being fought over, three clubs remain in contention for that final place: Charlton Athletic Women, Crystal Palace Women and Birmingham City Women.
All three have enjoyed strong seasons and would believe they could trouble Leicester, especially given that the WSL 2 side will have home advantage for the fixture, which will be played on 23rd May.
