Part 2: David Nish Memorabilia - Meeting John Hutchinson

The story continues. After my initial visit to see the remarkable David Nish memorabilia, I contacted Leicester City's club historian, John Hutchinson. We arranged a visit to see if the club would be interested in the collection.

Sometimes, the most extraordinary pieces of football history aren’t discovered in museums, club archives or auction houses. Sometimes, they’re sitting in a folder, lovingly preserved for decades.

Following my recent visit to Jo Bown and her remarkable collection of David Nish memorabilia that had been carefully kept by her late mother, Jennifer, I returned for a meeting with the football club themselves.

If you haven't read the first article about the discovery, here it is.

Jennifer had been married to the former City captain during the late 1960s and early 1970s, a period that included the 1969 FA Cup Final and the club’s Second Division championship title in 1971.
