Our 'Where Are They Now?' series takes a look at the history of our Leicester City alumni. Whether they are legends of the club or solid, seasoned performers. Whether they spent just a short time at the Foxes or barely made it out of the academy, this series will cover a wide range of former Foxes.
The first in the series takes a look at striker Bobby Davison, who spent time with Leicester City between 1992-1993 after moving south from Leeds United, where he had spent five seasons, making over 100 appearances.
He made an impact at the club in the first season, scoring nine goals as the Foxes narrowly missed out on promotion to the top flight with defeat in the play-off final to Swindon Town. He made only one more appearance for the club the following season, turning out in the Anglo-Italian Cup, before departing for Sheffield United. In all he made 31 appearances for Leicester City, scoring 9 goals.
After losing his place at Leeds United and spending time out on loan at both Derby County and Sheffield United, it was a familiar friend who would spark his move to the Foxes. Davison said, "It wasn't a surprise when Leicester came in for me, I was friends with their assistant manager John Gregory and knew of their interest. He gave me a call and it was all done very quickly."
