The Foxes were defeated 2-1 at Birmingham City in the EFL Championship this weekend, further confirming their place in an unwanted relegation battle following their six point deduction last week, which dropped the club into the thick of the battle.

Yet again, an individual error in the first few minutes of the game - this time from club captain Ricardo Pereira - gave the Foxes an early hill to climb, though they hit back in style as Abdul Fatawu continued to show his ability to hit world-class strikes from distance with an equaliser midway through the first half.

However, the continuation of shooting themselves in the foot once again reared its ugly head, as just past the half-hour, Bobby De Cordova-Reid needlessly earned himself a red card, piling the pressure on a club that continues to tread water. Inevitably, the home side took advantage in the second half to take all three points and leave City deep in trouble.

For Fox Sake's Andy Moore takes a look at five things we learned from the Birmingham defeat.
