Leicester City comfortably made it into the hat for the fourth round of the FA Cup with a 2-0 win over League Two side Cheltenham Town, avoiding a potentially morale-damaging banana skin.

Goals from Patson Daka and Stephy Mavididi earned the Foxes their first consecutive victories since November, and although many will point to the quality of opposition, it was a significant test for Marti Cifuentes and his side on the back of a period of uncertainty at the club.

Daka added his second goal of the season with a lovely finish on 23 minutes, slotting the ball past the Robins goalkeeper to give the visitors the lead. It would give the Foxes fans a brief glimpse of just what the Zambian International can do, and will hopefully boost the confidence of the much-maligned striker.

Man of the Match Stephy Mavididi doubled the lead just before the break with a jinking run, before a deflected shot nestled into the home side's goal as the Foxes took control of the match.
