Gary Rowett's first home game in charge of Leicester City was a stark reminder of how tough a task it will be to keep the Foxes in the Championship.

The hosts were second best throughout the first half, but managed to get to half-time at 0-0 and give themselves, and Rowett, a chance to make the changes required to have more of an impact in the second period.

That didn't happen. There were flashes of improvement after the break, but Norwich were still in command - Leicester couldn't get near them in or out of possession.

There was too much room on the edge of the box for Anis Ben Slimane to find the corner with the opener on 68 minutes, before static defending in the six-yard box allowed Ali Ahmed to double the lead ten minutes later, sealing all three points for the visitors.
