If this wasn’t a disaster, it’s as close to one as can possibly be, and it’s thrown up a very concerning number of potential connotations that ultimately cost manager Marti Cifuentes his job, less than 24 hours after the defeat. 

The Foxes' 2-1 loss at home to 23rd placed Oxford United left the club teetering on the edge of a metaphorical cliff, with a potential landslide to come later this week in the shape of the expected points deduction, if reports are true, that will finally put Leicester City on the verge of the unthinkable: back-to-back relegations.
