Leicester City 1-3 Peterborough United: Five Things We Learned

Does this rollercoaster ever go up or is it one of those constant downhill ones? Because if it is, I want to get off! A chastening 3-1 defeat at home to a Robbie Savage led Posh side that were languishing in the relegation zone surely means things cannot get worse than this... can they?

Another big home defeat - this time a 3-1 loss to relegation threatened Peterborough United - saw the Foxes hit a new low in this campaign that is teetering on the brink of a disaster already, and we're only just into October!

When things are going pear-shaped, the logical answer is to change things up, but what will ultimately be Russell Martin's downfall, both short-term at the King Power, and long-term for his career, will be his long-held stubbornness towards not adapting his philosophy.

Three first-half goals were shipped inexplicably again by a defence that I will choose to describe as a shambles rather than using an expletive. An Emil Riis goal midway through the second-half gave the Foxes a glimmer of hope, but it was well extinguished by newly appointed Posh manager, and former Leicester midfielder, the enigmatic Robbie Savage and his side.
