The East Midlands derby went the way of the Foxes as they secured the double over Derby County with a 2-1 win.
An early goal inside ten minutes by Bobby De Cordova-Reid gave the home side an early boost, but their lead lasted less than two minutes as Rhian Brewster hit straight back for the Rams.
Leicester restored their lead just before the break as Jordan James hooked home his second goal in as many games, and the Foxes battled their way to the three points, holding off their East Midlands rivals to ease the pressure on boss Marti Cifuentes.
