Leicester City 2-1 Doncaster Rovers: Five Things We Learned

A 2-1 win felt more comfortable than the scoreline suggests but it's a welcome step forward for the Foxes after a difficult few weeks for the club and under-pressure manager Russell Martin. We take a look at five things we learned from the win over Doncaster Rovers

The Foxes bounced back from last weekend's poor display at home to Peterborough United to take the much needed three points against Doncaster Rovers in a more positive display. There is once again hope that a corner has been turned.

Whilst no Foxes fan will be getting carried away, manager Russell Martin surprisingly changed up the formation to one that seemed to complement his squad in a more positive manner, with smart goals from John Lundstram and Kamari Doyle putting Leicester comfortably ahead.

A more assured performance at the back was very evident, though a late goal from another mistake in our own half gave the Foxes a nervy last 10 minutes, that they saw through fairly comfortably, with a performance that we hope can be backed up in midweek at Bromley.
