Leicester City Women put in a ‘really solid performance’ despite losing 2-0 at home to Manchester United on Saturday. That’s according to journalist Réshma Rao, who writes for The Cutback.

The Foxes conceded early in the first half and late in the second as they remain winless in 2026, with results later in the weekend seeing them fall to the foot of the WSL table.

Speaking exclusively to For Fox Sake, Rao said, “I think it was a really solid performance actually from Leicester.

“It was a little bit disappointing because the two goals came sort of as bookends. One at the beginning and then one right at the end. But that middle bit, and especially the second half, was really solid.
