The result on Sunday was as miserable as the weather. A lack of cutting edge saw City slump to a 2-0 defeat away at fellow strugglers Liverpool.

The result on Sunday was as miserable as the weather.

Leicester went to Liverpool looking to lift themselves off the bottom of the WSL table at the hosts’ expense, but the lack of cutting edge - which has been evident all season - saw City slump to a 2-0 defeat.

Leicester haven’t won in the league in 2026 and their only goal this calendar year was an own goal by West Ham's Eva Nystrom. There are six games left to save City’s season.

Once again it came down to key moments as the game itself was fairly even, Liverpool slightly edging it on the pitch and on the stats sheet.
