On 1st July when contracts came to an end and retained lists were finalised, the general consensus was that Leicester City had no strikers.
None. Not a single one.
Kirsten Otchere and Nathan Opoku have stepped forward in pre-season to disprove that theory, and put themselves in with a real shout of featuring for Leicester City in the upcoming League One season.
Away victories over Bristol Rovers and Burton Albion have made it a productive week for the Foxes ahead of their upcoming Spanish training camp, and Otchere and Opoku both found the net in both of this week’s friendlies.
