New Leicester signing Ashleigh Neville endured a moment to forget and enjoyed a moment to remember on Sunday, as she made her Foxes debut against the side with whom she'd spent the past seven seasons.

A 40th minute own goal was an unfortunate moment in an otherwise excellent first Leicester appearance, but the guard of honour and the reception of the Tottenham Hotspur fans post-match will have made it a bittersweet day.

Leicester's 1-0 loss to Spurs showed promise of a team willing to create, but with no finishing touch to show for it. A contest between the new blood unfolded, with recently signed reinforcements on both sides testing their mettle.

City boss Rick Passmoor opted to start both new defensive signings, with Neville and Sarah Mayling operating as wing-backs, dropping into a back five when out of possession.
