Leicester City Women fell to a 2-0 defeat against London City Lionesses at Meadow Lane in their first match of the Subway Players Cup on Wednesday evening.
The Foxes put up a good fight against the star-studded top tier side, but two goals in the final 10 minutes meant London City took all three points.
The game was 0-0 at half time but with goals from Nikita Parris and Kadidiatou Diani led to the Lionesses’ third win from four.
