Leicester City Women suffered their fourth defeat in a row with a 3-1 loss away to Sunderland at the Eppleton Colliery Welfare Ground on Sunday.

The Foxes have now lost their last three league games, taking six points from a possible 15.

The game started fairly evenly, with the hosts taking the lead just 10 minutes in through Katie Kitching before Leicester struck back with Asmita Ale’s deft finish in the 24th minute.

Sunderland restored their lead in the second half through Elise Hughes, and Sanni Franssi sealed the win for the hosts.
