It’s a very familiar feeling as we look ahead to the Wrexham game on Tuesday night. How many times this season have we felt like we were just a result or two away from putting together a meaningful run? How many times this season have we felt like the players were showing signs of finding top form, only to regress right before our eyes?

I appreciate that this is an article full of questions so I’ll stop with the rhetorical ones for now, as we consider five things to look out for in North Wales.

Who will play left-back?

We can’t lay all the blame for City’s defensive frailties at Luke Thomas’s door, but most of it has to be apportioned to him in recent weeks. He was criminally weak at the back post for Coventry’s winner, the latest in a catalogue of errors.
