Leicester City have now turned to Saints to provide inspiration in the form of the arrival of Joe Aribo on loan from Southampton until the end of the season.

The 29-year-old midfielder has made just seven appearances this season for various reasons where earlier on in the campaign, it was reported that Aribo was pushing for an exit from the south coast, and had not completed a full pre-season.

He didn't play a game until 1st November when he made a four minute cameo from the bench against Preston. Just six more substitute appearances have followed and he hasn't taken to the field since a three minute stint against West Brom on 9th December.

In previous seasons, Aribo has featured regularly for Southampton as well as previous clubs Rangers and Charlton. In the Scottish Premiership he averaged a goal involvement every three games, and enjoyed similar stats in League One with the Addicks.
