Coulibaly Sees Red But Mali Make It Through

Leicester City full-back Woyo Coulibaly was sent off in the first half of Mali's knockout victory over Tunisia - a game which had plenty of late drama. Fellow Fox Bilal El Khannouss played the full 90 minutes in Morocco's 1-0 win against Tanzania.

Foxes full-back Woyo Coulibaly was on the winning side, despite being sent off in the first half, as Mali beat Tunisia in their Round of 16 tie with Tunisia at the Africa Cup of Nations.

Fellow Fox Bilal El Khannouss played the full ninety minutes as hosts Morocco recorded a 1-0 win over Tanzania to progress to the last eight.

Coulibaly, who has made five appearances for City since joining in January 2025, was dismissed in the 26th minute after a lunging challenge saw his studs made contact with Burnley midfielder Hannibal Mejbri's Achilles.

The game remained goalless until the 88th minute when Firas Chaouat scored what he thought would be the winning goal for Tunisia.
