There will be no Leicester City connections in the 2026 FIFA World Cup final, as both former Foxes involved in the semi-finals found themselves on the losing side.

On Wednesday night in Atlanta, ex-Leicester loanee Harry Kane led England out against Argentina for the latest fixture in one of international football’s most fascinating rivalries.

In the 2012/13 season, Kane made 15 appearances for City, scoring two goals. In the 2025/26 season (counting from the 2025 Club World Cup to the semi-finals of the 2026 World Cup), he has made 73 appearances for Bayern Munich and England, scoring 76 goals.
