Earlier today, Rob Tanner of The Athletic reported that Leicester City had held talks for their newly-created Technical Director role with Southampton Director of Group Talent Strategy, Andy Goldie.
The former Saints Academy Manager has extensive experience in the game over the last decade, and held similar Academy roles at Swansea City and with Dundee United in his native Scotland.
The 40-year-old has impressed in Academy roles, was promoted to Director of Group Strategy at the Championship side in the summer, and has a growing reputation within the game.
After the announcement in November that Leicester were looking for a Technical Director to take over the football operations at the club, there has been a period of silence emanating from King Power since, much to the frustration of the Foxes fan base. This is the first sign of any significant rumours coming out of the club.
