The departure of Wout Faes on a permanent transfer to UAE Pro League side Shabab AlAhli Dubai FC was confirmed yesterday, ending his 4-year spell at Leicester City.
The enigmatic defender finally departed the club, ending a spell that we all thought (and hoped) would end back in january when he was shipped out on loan to French Ligue 1 side Monaco, though his performances for a side playing in the Champions League, like he did for us, left a lot to be desired.
Faes has been a polarising figure for the Foxes since his arrival from Stade Reims in 2022 as a direct replacement for Turkish centre-back Caglar Soyuncu, with pundits hailing the man nicknamed 'Sideshow Bob' (for obvious reasons) as a step-up for the Foxes.
