With highly-rated midfielder Sammy Braybrooke joining Chesterfield on loan for the remainder of the season, Foxes fans will be keeping tabs on his progress, with one eye on whether the talented youngster has what it takes to break into the first-team squad.
The midfielder spent the first half of the season at struggling Newport County, now managed by former Foxes title-winning left-back Christian Fuchs, where he earned rave reviews, but he returned to Leicester at the start of the New Year and was immediately shipped out on loan to Chesterfield.
Braybrooke made his first start for the Spireites in their 2-2 draw with MK Dons on Sunday, playing the full 90 minutes for his new side and winning the Man of the Match award, kicking off his time at the East Midlands side in style.
The Spireites are firmly in the mix for promotion from League Two, and we spoke to Tom Oxley of the Chesterfield fan group SpireitesWrite to find out what they saw in his opening game for the club, and what he can expect to learn at the League Two side for the remainder of the season.
