I've always loved watching the Socceroos.

My family emigrated from Leicester to Australia when I was young, so I had front row seats to the resurgence of football down under.

In 2005, Australia booked their return to the World Cup after a 32 year absence, beating Uruguay on penalties. I was in the stadium for that incredible moment in Sydney, a moment I didn't think could be topped.

Watching the Socceroos beat Türkiye 2-0 in Vancouver on Saturday night was even better.
