After 15 years service as Leicester City Chief Executive, Susan Whelan departed the club in October 2025 amid the recent murmurings of discontent at the Foxes.

The 62-year old Irish Executive oversaw the most successful period ever for the club that included the 2015/16 title win and the 2021 FA Cup triumph, having joined the Foxes in 2010.

Her departure came after a torrid recent period that saw the club relegated twice from the Premier League and face both financial and point deduction battles.

So, with the club under scrutiny on all fronts including from the fans, questions are being asked. Did she leave amid the off-field issues? Or did she leave knowing the club was in a mess that wasn’t going to get better quickly?
