Leicester City Women host Durham in their first home game of the WSL2 season on Sunday at 3pm.
Rick Passmoor’s side return to the King Power Stadium after recording a 1-0 opening day win against Sheffield United last weekend – their first away league win since January 2024.
Women’s football journalist and editor of Women’s Football Talk, Brad Morris, believes that getting the first game out of the way and building connections on the pitch in a competitive environment will get the best out of City.
“You’re hoping that given an extra week now, connections would have been established further,” he told Lily Saunders on For Fox Sake – The Women’s Football Show.
