Just hours ago, Leicester City confirmed the signing of Alisha Lehmann on a permanent deal, bringing arguably the most high-profile women’s football player back to the Barclays WSL.
Lehmann has made the move from the Italian Serie A Femminile side Como, where she had a rather tumultuous time having only played half a season with very limited minutes.
Having only turned 27 just yesterday, Lehmann is already one of the most recognised faces in football, both women’s and men’s – although the latter is arguably not just down to her footballing abilities!
Her global profile is backed up by her 16 million Instagram follower base and substantial TikTok presence, amplifying her visibility both within and outside of traditional sports media.
