It's a full circle moment for Leicester-born Rachel Williams, as she signed for the Foxes earlier today on a permanent deal. The player made the move from Manchester United in the North-West back to the Midlands, returning to the club where she started her footballing career aged twelve.

Williams is a hugely experienced forward and prolific goalscorer. She currently sits 11th in the all-time WSL top scorers list with 50 goals to her name, having played at a variety of clubs across the WSL, including Birmingham City, Chelsea, Notts County, and similar to new team-mate Ash Neville, Tottenham Hotspur.

Leicester have their second consecutive away fixture against Spurs this weekend. Could she return to haunt her former side in the Women’s FA Cup?

She’s had fantastic success in the cup previously, most recently by helping Manchester United claim the title in 2024, scoring their third goal in a 4-1 win – against Tottenham no less!
