There are just two former Foxes left standing at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, after three were dumped out in the quarter-finals in the USA.

Ex-Leicester loanee Harry Kane led England through a nervy encounter against Norway, and whilst the football wasn’t always top drawer, there was plenty of drama to keep fans of both nations on the edges of their seats.

Three Lions boss Thomas Tuchel stated that England were lucky to edge through 2-1 after extra-time, and that dig could have been aimed at the players’ performance levels, some of the refereeing decisions, or a combination of the two.

Andreas Schjelderup’s mis-hit cross dipped over Jordan Pickford to give Norway the lead in the 36th minute, and England looked set to take a deserved 1-0 deficit into the half-time interval.
