Leicester City face a tough trip to league leaders Manchester City on Friday night (7pm kick-off), but there may well be a couple of glimmers of hope for the Foxes, despite them currently being at the opposite end of the WSL table.

Manchester City’s winning streak is over

Andrée Jeglertz’s side were on a 13-game winning streak until they went to Arsenal on Sunday. The Gunners secured a well-deserved 1-0 win to prevent Man City going 11 points clear at the top of the table. Second-placed Manchester United, who beat Leicester 2-0 on Saturday, are eight points behind their rivals.

Manchester City are used to taking all three points. Their only other WSL defeat came on the opening day of the season against Chelsea, and they look well on course for a second top flight title having been runners-up six times since they last won it in 2016.
